University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Expands Its Digital Library with Major Book Purchases
At the Book Café ceremony held in the Central Library of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Dr. Saeedeh Mehrkian, Head of the Central Library, announced the successful completion of a major book procurement initiative supported by a 500 million toman allocation from the Vice President for Research for the purchase of scientific resources.
Dr. Mehrkian emphasized that updating library resources plays a vital role in strengthening the university’s research capacity and academic development. She noted that, based on the report from the May 2026 Virtual Book Fair, the Central Library acquired 106 Persian book titles in 218 copies, valued at 1,335,102,200 rials, along with 93 Latin language book titles in 112 copies, valued at 2,331,764,500 rials.
