The Salmand: Iranian Journal of Aging has been honored with the Best Article Award at the Scientific Festival of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dr. Yadollah Abolfathi Mumtaz, the journal's Editor-in-Chief, announced this distinguished achievement during the award ceremony held at Ghadir Hall, an event graced by the presence of eminent figures, including Dr. Seyed Alireza Marandi. The festival recognized scholarly contributions across five award categories. Among these, the Top Persian Article Award constituted a principal distinction, the second place of which was conferred upon Dr. Nasibeh Zanjari and Dr. Ahmad Dalbiri for their article examining the challenges and drivers of aging in Iran. All articles were assessed in accordance with international scholarly indicators and subjected to rigorous peer review by a scientific committee. Furthermore, the nomination process incorporated input from editors of Persian language medical journals nationwide.
