Meeting to Review the Status of Journals at the University of Rehabilitation Sciences and Social Health Was Held
A meeting to review the status of journals at the University of Rehabilitation Sciences and Social Health in citation databases was held.
According to the university's web reporter, a session was held to examine the status of the University of Rehabilitation Sciences and Social Health's journals in citation databases. In this meeting, the scientific status and indexing of the university's journals were reviewed, with emphasis on improving scientific quality and compliance with international standards.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Khanjani, Deputy of Research and Technology at the university, welcomed the attendees and expressed appreciation for holding such meetings and the presence of managers and experts from the Ministry of Health, emphasizing the continuation of these sessions to improve the status of the university's publications.
Subsequently, Dr. Hamid Baradaran, Secretary of the Medical Sciences Publications Commission of the Ministry of Health, referring to the Seventh Development Plan, emphasized the necessity of precise implementation of designated actions within the specified timeframe and added: "In this area, two main priorities are being considered:
Firstly, the increase in the number of journal articles—although it does not have a significant impact on the Site Score—should be noted. Secondly, any issues regarding unindexed articles must be carefully tracked, and if such cases exist, they should be promptly reported to the Scopus citation database.
Then, Dr. Fazli, an expert at the Center for the Development and Coordination of Scientific Information and Publications of the Ministry of Health, reviewed the university’s indexed journals—includingArchives of Rehabilitation.Physical Treatments - Specific Physical Therapy Journal, ,Iranian Rehabilitation Journal (IRJ), and Health in Emergencies & Disasters Quarterly (HDQ). He provided remarks on improving the scientific quality of journals and avoiding mistakes that may lead to a decline in their ranking.
Subsequently, the editors-in-chief and journal specialists of the university shared their perspectives, challenges, and suggestions regarding the enhancement of publication processes, indexing, and maintaining the scientific quality of the journals
