Call for Papers
Health in Emergencies and Disasters Quarterly (HDQ) is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes empirical, theoretical, methodological, reviews, notes and practice-oriented book review articles from international authors.
Health in Emergencies and Disasters Quarterly (HDQ) is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes empirical, theoretical, methodological, reviews, notes and practice-oriented book review articles from international authors. It focuses on the topics covering health aspects in disaster studies, policy making and management in all relevant disciplines around the world. The journal tries to promote the idea and experience interchange with maintaining the balance between academic papers and the field reports and case studies of general interest.
We encourage manuscripts that:
· contribute in promoting the knowledge of health in disasters and emergencies through research and examination of methodology;
· could develop and advance theories pertinent to health promotion and injury reduction in disasters all around the world;
· promote the education and training of practitioners to work with individuals/nations, including the publication of special issues relevant to the delivery of effective services to minority populations;
· attend to disaster related social justice and policy making regarding individuals and communities;
· include attention to diverse communities within the broadest meaning of what it means to be at risk, prone to, vulnerable to, resilient to, prepared against and etc;
· utilize quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method approaches.

Publication Fee: There are no fees payable to submit, review, edit or publish in this journal.
Review Date: The time required for the first round of the refereeing process is maximum 2 weeks.
Acceptance Date: The initial decision on accepting or rejecting the article will be sent to the author within 4 weeks.
Manuscripts should be electronically submitted through our online submission portal.
